ResponsibilitiesThe System Educator for the Norton Healthcare Institute for Nursing plans, implements, and evaluates the needs of student/staff hired in the Critical Care, Emergency, Medical-Surgical, and Surgical departments for Norton Healthcare. This individual works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care teams to meet education needs and is responsible for competency and skills related to clinical specialty. The System Educator utilizes age-appropriate principles of learning and growth in the development and planning of education and provision of patient care. The educator’s role calls for skill in teaching and supervision. This individual acts in a leadership role and functions as a resource liaison between all Norton Healthcare facilities. The educator/clinician needs to be an expert practitioner and an innovator of new concepts applicable to specialty services. The individual is also responsible for staff CEU and classroom didactic education and serves as a role model teacher/advisor for caregivers.
QualificationsRequired:
- Three years nursing in area of specialty
- Bachelor Degree
- Registered Nurse
