Schedule: PRN
Shift: Day Shift (1-2 shifts a week)
On Call: 1 day and 1 weekend shift a month.

- Help develop a brand new $150 million community hospital and medical office building that will provide services such as Emergency Services, Medical/Surgical, ICU, Women’s Services, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Interventional Cardiology, and Gastroenterology.

The role you’ll contribute:
Under nursing and/or physician supervision, assists in the performance of endoscopic examinations and procedures; performs decontamination, disinfection, and/or sterilization of examination equipment, instruments, and supplies. Performs tests and maintains records for biological monitoring. Assists physician in obtaining pathological tissue specimens. Assists nursing staff in nursing care as delegated within appropriate scope of practice. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing endoscopy services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Under the direct supervision of the doctor performs or assists with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
· Assists registered nurse and physician in exams and procedures by holding and passing endoscopes/colon scopes upon physician request. Holds and passes exam utensils such as guide wires, biopsy brushes and forceps, snares, and dilatation devices. Will hold scope in place when requested, but will not place, advance or re-position scope.
· Labels all medications, to include but not limited to, water, Mylicon, and saline.
· Cleans, disinfects and/or sterilizes endoscopes, guide wires, biopsy forceps, and brushes used during endoscopy exams and treatments by scrubbing, flushing, and bathing equipment with appropriate chemicals and equipment. Monitors equipment and supplies during the cleaning process to guarantee quality control.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· High school diploma or GED.
· Endo Tech with ERCP experience.
