Pediatric Emergency and Urgent Care Physicians – Phoenix Children’s
Phoenix Children's opened as a free-standing hospital in 2002 and in the past 20 years has undergone tremendous growth. We opened a new ED on the main campus in 2017 and that ED sees over 90K children a year and is the only free-standing level one pediatric trauma center in the state.
Phoenix is in Maricopa County, one of the fastest growing counties in the United States, especially for young families. With this growth, we have continued to expand our division, our facilities and our training programs which includes fellowships in both Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Urgent Care. In addition to our main campus we have a free-standing ED in Avondale (17 miles west) and will be opening a three story Children’s Hospital in the East Valley in early 2024 and another 3 story hospital in the Northwest Valley in late 2024 each with an emergency department. In addition to these locations, we will continue to staff 4 Urgent Care Centers throughout the Phoenix area from 5p-midnight on weekdays and 10a-8p on weekends.
We are currently looking to expand our group based on this growth. We have 43 PEM-trained providers, 13 Pediatricians, and 31 APP’s. We are hiring PEM certified or eligible providers to staff both the main ED and the Avondale location and are interested in hiring non-PEM providers interested in a combination of lower acuity ED patients and Urgent Care patients.
This position offers competitive compensation, excellent benefits, including employer retirement contribution, generous vacation/meeting time, CME funds, health and dental benefits, disability, and life insurance.
