Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments per physician’s orders and in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Must be able to administer medications via all routes, including controlled substances.
- Assist clients with all health and medical devices.
- Monitor persons served for seizures, medication side effects, and provide necessary nursing interventions.
- Inform RN or Director of Nursing (DON) and/or physician of health status changes.
- Complete all required documentation.
- Assist with providing nursing services in group homes.
- Assist with quality assurance reviews.
- Assist with Respiratory Therapy and IV Therapy as needed.
- Evaluate clients on Medication Administration skill level.
- Attend and participate in meetings and trainings.
- Ensure client’s mealtime procedures and therapeutic positioning procedures are followed.
- Ensure Infection Control Policies and Procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness of all equipment.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Complete required documentation in case of employee injury.
- Assist with facility emergency procedures.
- Follow notification protocol for accidents and emergencies.
- Report to work for scheduled shifts, including during inclement weather.
- Participate in outings and appointments.
- Complete housekeeping duties.
- Ensure compliance with Quest’s policies and procedures.
- Assist with training new employees as needed.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school for Licensed Practical Nurses required.
- Current unrestricted Florida Licensed Practical Nurse license required.
- Florida Driver’s License with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Able to work in the US without requiring Visa Sponsorship.
- Effectively communicate and understand multi-step instructions.
- Use functional math and assess data.
- Organize and prioritize workflow.
- Work independently and complete tasks.
- Make immediate decisions in crisis situations.
- Conduct self in a professional manner.
- Keep information confidential.
- Proficiently use a computer and electronic medical records.
