Seeking an FT Physician Assistant with orthopedic/spine experience is preferred but willing to train for the right individual. The position works under the supervision of an orthopedic surgeon.
Responsibilities:
- Providing acute and chronic patient care including patient histories.
- Perform pre-and post-operative patient care.
- Wound care and suturing.
- Monitor therapies.
- Prescribe appropriate medications.
- Order/interpret tests.
- Assist in orthopedic/spine surgery cases.
- Practice call coverage.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of accredited physician assistant program.
- Current PA license.
- NCCPA certified or eligible.
- At least one year in orthopedics is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Strong computer skills; EMR experience a plus (Advanced MD/Dragon Speak).
