What You Will Do:
A registered nurse with advanced education and training in care of at-risk and high-risk neonates. Responsible for the nature and quality of nursing care of critically ill neonates. Under the direction of a physician, the NNP manages neonatal patients using collaboration, consultation, and direct care. The NNP is involved with the education of nursing staff, residents, and students, including:
- Maintains credentials with procedural privileges through the medical staff offices at WMH and OMH.
- Participates in multidisciplinary mortality and morbidity rounds.
- Participates and coordinates as needed in research activities within the NICU.
- Provides procedural support to the ED for newborn/infant code blue.
Qualifications:
- Displays a positive attitude about themselves, work, and staff.
- Meets all necessary competencies within 6 months of hire.
- BLS and NRP upon hire.
- Master's Degree required.
