The EMT will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the care of critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients.
- Managing transport equipment.
- Operating the Boston Children’s Hospital ambulance.
- Managing radio critical care transport team telephone requests.
- Managing Emergency Department referrals (“expects”) from the region.
- Arranging ambulance discharges from Boston Children’s Hospital.
- Trauma activations.
- Coordinating the transfer of diagnostic images.
- Facilitating telemedicine consults with several hospital emergency departments.
To qualify, you must have:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- A current valid driver’s license.
- A minimum of 3 years EMT experience (experience in a 911 system is preferred).
- Good communication skills.
- The ability to work on a team.
*Sign-on bonus of $5,000.00 if hired before 9/30/24 (for those who have not worked at BCH in the past 2 years).
