Clinical Pathologist

We are seeking an experienced board-certified Clinical Pathologist to join our thriving private practice serving Maine Medical Center. The successful candidate will be integrated into a team of 18 AP/CP pathologists and 2 full time Clinical Pathologists covering 14 hospitals. The position is based out of Maine Medical Center, the flagship Level 1 Trauma Center hospital located in Portland, ME (with 3 other campuses in Portland, Biddeford and Sanford).
The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills and would be an experienced physician with strong general Clinical Pathology experience, who is comfortable working closely with the many different clinical teams (Cardiac Surgery, Heme/Onc, OB/Gyn, etc…). Focused experience in Clinical Chemistry, Point of Care Testing, and/or Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine is desired. Massive Transfusion management experience is a plus but not required.

- Experience in Blood Banking / Transfusion Medicine and Massive Transfusion Protocols.
