Job Description:
Caring Transitions of Winston Salem is seeking a compassionate and organized individual to join our team as a Transition Care Specialist. As a Transition Care Specialist, you will play a key role in providing personalized support to clients undergoing major life transitions, such as downsizing their homes or relocating to new residences. This position requires empathy, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Sorting and Organizing: Assist clients in sorting through their belongings, offering guidance and support in making decisions about what to keep, donate, sell, or discard.
Space Optimization: Maximize space efficiency in clients' homes by implementing innovative storage solutions and organizational strategies.
Liquidation Support:
Photography: Capture high-quality photographs of merchandise for online auction listings, ensuring accurate representation and highlighting key features.
Title and Description Writing: Write engaging and descriptive titles and descriptions for auction listings, incorporating relevant keywords and details to attract potential buyers.
Research: Conduct research to determine appropriate listing or items based on market trends, condition, and demand, ensuring to maximize sales.
Coordination of Services: Coordinate with external service providers, such as movers, estate sale professionals, and donation centers, to facilitate the downsizing process smoothly and efficiently.
Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients throughout the downsizing process, recognizing the emotional challenges associated with letting go of possessions and transitioning to a new living environment.
Documentation and Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of clients' belongings, documenting items to be kept, sold, donated, or disposed of, and ensuring proper inventory management throughout the downsizing process.
Follow-Up and Feedback: Conduct follow-up meetings with clients to ensure their satisfaction with the downsizing process and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a genuine desire to help others during challenging life transitions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Experience in downsizing, relocation, senior care, or related fields is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of local resources and service providers related to downsizing and relocation is a plus.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with sensitive client information.
