Practice Description
Fairview Health Services is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team at M Health Fairview Lakes Medical Center. The NP will provide inpatient pediatric care (including attending deliveries), perform circumcisions and frenulotomies, lactation consultation (as training allows), emergency department consults and assist in surgery.
Practice Details:
- NP’s provide 24/7 coverage at Fairview Lakes Medical Center
- Join a team of 3 NP's and 1 Physician
- The NP will be supported by the pediatric hospitalist at UMMCH and can consult with the pediatric team at the Wyoming Clinic.
- The majority of the pediatric inpatient medicine is with newborns in the nursery and special care nursery
- The NP may also assist Fairview surgeons in procedures when they are not caring for infants and children in the hospital
- Neonatal stabilization training as well as surgical assist training will be provided if needed although previous experience is a plus
- Call Frequency: Pediatric calls taken while on service
- Openings: .5 FTE
- As an Accountable Care Organization (ACO), our physicians use a multidisciplinary team approach in managing clinical care.
- Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).

Qualifications
- Graduate of a school of nursing and accredited Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner training program.
- BC/BE through the PNCB, AANP or ANCC.
- Licensed or ability to obtain APRN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
- NRP and PALS certifications are required. Training is provided.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges (if required).
- Previous experience as an NP is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Acute care certification is preferred but primary care PNP's or FNP's will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
- IBCLC certification is also a plus but not required.
