Under the direction of Nursing Leadership and Wound Care Services, and collaboration with other Wound Care Nurses, provide wound and skin consultation for patients in the organization. Design and provide skin and wound care education and treatment in the acute care setting related to wound care. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with all patient care disciplines. Promote professional behaviors and standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
- Minimum 2 years current nursing experience with a focus in wound and stoma care preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential material with maturity, sensitivity, and discretion.
- Reading/comprehension skills; understanding anatomy and medical terminology.
- Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team, handling a variety of tasks and fluctuating workloads.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize own work and the work of others.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Competency handling electronic information and functional knowledge using clinical applications.
- BLS certification.
- Current New Hampshire RN license and WCC or attainable upon hire.
