Job Summary and Qualifications
Ultrasound Technologist - Free Standing ER
Schedule: 11a-1130p on Thursday/Friday/Saturday
Locations: This opportunity will support our free-standing ER locations in Plant City and Lakeland
As an Ultrasound Technologist on our team, you will provide ultrasound services to patients as ordered by physicians. You will also follow established standards and practices under the direction of a Radiologist. If you share our passion and vision, we invite you to apply now!
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
- Use specialized equipment to create images (sonograms) of structures inside the human body.
- Analyze technical information.
- Use independent judgment in recognizing the need to extend the scope of the procedure.
- Provide a written summary of the technical findings to the physician.
- Obtain and record an accurate patient history.
- Provide high-quality patient care.
- Display excellent communication skills.
- Collaborate with physicians and other caregivers.
- Maintain appropriate education and development.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- Valid RDMS (current) + RVT within 6 months of board eligibility.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Computer skills.
