What you'll get to do in this role:
Performs a variety of technical procedures involving the use of high-energy radiation producing equipment. Responsible for administering, simulating and recording radiation treatments to patients of all ages as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist while maintaining confidentiality. Provides daily patient contact for monitoring the effects of radiation.
Education Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved radiation therapist program.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
- ARRT certified
- ARRT certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
- If hired after 1989, must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, registered in Radiation Therapy.
- Valid state credentialing, if applicable.
- Current CPR certification.
