MLee Healthcare is seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Technologist to join our client's dynamic team. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a vital role in the healthcare facility by performing various laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to accurate and timely patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including but not limited to hematology, microbiology, chemistry, immunology, and blood bank.
- Collect and analyze samples, interpret results, and report findings to healthcare professionals.
- Ensure adherence to quality control and quality assurance protocols.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate test results and provide input on patient treatment plans.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical technology and laboratory techniques.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all test results and procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Train and mentor junior staff members, as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by a recognized accrediting agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
- Experience working as a Medical Technologist preferred, but new graduates with relevant clinical internship experience are welcome to apply.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and quality control measures.
- Proficient in performing various laboratory tests and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to patient care, accuracy, and professionalism.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, if necessary.
