Albany Medical College seeks an individual to join our team as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology and Complex Family Planning.

The Medical Center is the primary teaching affiliate of Albany Medical College, one of the nation’s oldest private medical schools with more than 500 students in its MD program.
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is a full-service tertiary care group that employs 30 part-time and full-time physicians, 10 nurse practitioners, 8 sonographers, 2 full-time Genetic Counselors, plus supporting administrative and clinical staff along with 24 residents and 6 fellows in MFM and Urogynecology. There are over 2,500 deliveries per year at AMC, including many patients with complex maternal and fetal co-morbidities. Our OBGYN ambulatory clinic is busy with over 18,000 visits annually, and our robust surgical practice performs over 2,000 general gynecology cases and over 250 family planning cases per year.
We seek candidates with diverse experience, dedication to teaching and research, and passion for the care of women and people capable of pregnancy. Candidates should possess outstanding clinical skills and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively with other health care providers and support staff.
The selected physician will provide both general obstetrical and gynecological and complex family planning services to patients within Albany Med Faculty Physician Group and its outpatient and inpatient facilities including in hospital and home call coverage. Participation in the education and training of medical students and residents along with research is anticipated.
Faculty rank appointment will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Successful candidates should possess the following minimum qualifications:
- Applicants must possess an MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and have or be eligible to obtain a New York Medical License.
- Applicants must be board certified or be an active candidate for board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Applicants must be subspecialty board certified or be an active candidate for board certification in Complex Family Planning.
Compensation and rank as part of a non-for-profit faculty group of AMC is competitive and commensurate with experience.
