Animal Eye Center of NJ is hiring a Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join our Ophthalmology team!
A skilled Veterinary Ophthalmic Technician is a crucial component to the success of any ophthalmology practice, as they directly affect the ophthalmologist's ability to diagnose and treat ocular disease.
Shift Details: Monday – Friday, NO weekends or overnights.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of technical experience.
- Technical skill set such as restraint, phlebotomy, catheter placement, and general nursing care experience is needed.
- Preference given to applicants with advanced skill sets which include Schirmer tear tests, tonometry, ocular ultrasounds, electroretinograms, and the use of paralytics.
- Anesthesia monitoring, perform sterile scrub, assist doctors throughout a variety of surgical procedures.
- Ability to lift and restrain patients up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Advocate for patient care.
- Self-motivated with a passion for veterinary medicine.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- CVT preferred.
