Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a (12×3) 36 hours per week
Length: 13 weeks
Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 2 weekends/month (could be more)
Requirements:
- CA License
- 2 Years Experience
- MS/Tele; Telemetry; PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown; Management/Interpretation of dysrhythmias; Telemetry -on the unit monitoring; Use of Rapid Response Teams; Post MI; Feeding tube care and management; Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management; Renal failure; Accessing Ports; BPA; Central line care/management; Peripheral Line Care/Management; PICC line management; Starting IVs; Heparin Protocols; Manage Cardiac drips- no titration; Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration; CVA; Care of Ventilated Patient; Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac; External CPAP/BIPAP; High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC); Interpretation of ABGs; Nasal Cannula; Oxygen face masks; Non-invasive airway management; Tracheostomy Management; Isolation Precautions; Wound Care/Wound Vac
- AHA BLS
- ACLS
- NIH
- Meditech Experience preferred
- Post Cardiac Angiogram; IV insulin protocols; Titration of Insulin drips; Titrate Cardiac drips; Pre/Post neurosurgery preferred
Other Details:
- Unit Accepts 1st time Traveler
- Float within areas of competency (med/surg, tele, obs). Omnicell med system. SBAR communication
- Non-titrated cardiac drip management (Amiodarone, Milrinone, lasix, cardizem (titrated), dopamine and dobutamine)
- 1:3 with trachs and ventilator management required
- Will consider first time travelers with PCU experience with 1:3-4 ratios
- Insulin 3:1 preferred (not required)
- COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required + Booster – Medical/Religious Exemptions only
- Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed
- Travelers within 50 miles are not accepted
PLEASE NOTE: 1:3 with trachs and ventilator management REQUIRED. Non-titrated cardiac drip management (Amiodarone, Milrinone, lasix, cardizem (titrated), dopamine and dobutamine) required. Certifications REQUIRED: NIH, ACLS, BLS (AHA only, no HeartCode). Meditech Experience Preferred. Will consider first time travelers with PCU experience with 1:3-4 ratios. Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 2 weekends/month (could be more). Float within areas of competency (med/surg, tele, obs). Omnicell med system. SBAR communication. 24hr orientation. Navy scrubs (not provided).
Provider support includes: Interpretation Services, Lift Teams, Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Unit Secretary. Intensivist and Hospitalist provider coverage.
