Job Title: Director, Developer Enablement

The Team:
The Product Technology group within Product Development is responsible for ensuring Accuris’ products are rapidly deployed and seamlessly operated in the cloud, ensuring that developers quickly gain access to the tools and technology they need to build great products. Product Technology comprises several functions – Application Security & Operations, Developer Experience, Cloud Engineering & Technical Architecture. These functions build and maintain the key systems that underpin the SaaS products our customers consume.
The Impact:
We are seeking a hands-on leader to head up a newly created function within the Product Technology Group at Accuris - Dev Enablement. This role will report to the Head of Product Technology, with a remit to enable Product Development teams to rapidly deploy and operate their code on scalable, secure, reliable product infrastructure. The function will encompass elements of Solution Engineering & SRE disciplines and will be a key part of how Accuris approaches DevOps for its products. They will work closely with the Developer Experience & Cloud Engineering Teams as part of Product Technology leadership to deliver both bespoke and blueprint solutions for development teams.
The ideal candidate should have a strong cloud and infrastructure engineering background, extensive experience in working with software development and Agile, familiarity in leading globally distributed teams, observability tooling (New Relic/OpenTelemetry), application security best practices, SDLC, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible & Terraform/OpenTofu). Experience working in AWS and Azure, as well as more traditional VMware environments, is a must. Experience in guiding application modernization, hybrid cloud configurations, cloud native runtimes like Kubernetes, and advising on best practice application architecture for the Cloud are desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Build and lead the Dev Enablement team within Product Technology.
- Bring a strong sense of execution and ownership to the team with a maniacal sense of urgency.
- Ensure that Accuris Products are deployed in a resilient, scalable, and efficient way.
- Work with development leadership to define roadmaps and deliverables, and drive the team to meet their commitments in support of our Products.
- Partner with development leads to define and measure SLO/SLIs for our applications and services.
- Ensure that agreed standards and best practices for our products & platforms (CI/CD, security, observability) are defined and followed.
- Identify where our standard blueprints don’t meet development needs, and engineer solutions to provide these missing capabilities.
- Work with Developer Experience & Cloud Engineering teams to build new standard solution blueprints.
- Ensure that relevant systems within Accuris meet appropriate security and compliance benchmarks – e.g., CIS, NIST-800.
- Develop and manage projects, create work items, and provide daily coordination to ensure on-time delivery.
- Partner with development and product management teams to resolve challenges and ensure proper development and privacy/security practices are adopted.
What We’re Looking For:
- Must have extensive cloud and infrastructure engineering/operations background.
- Real-world experience of software development would be highly beneficial.
- Must have experience building and leading globally dispersed teams.
- Experience working in AWS and Azure as well as more traditional VMware environments.

Compensation/Benefits Information:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $160,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.
