We're thrilled to extend an invitation for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at our Sunshine Center Outpatient Pediatric Clinic located in Edison, New Jersey. We are eager to bring someone on board who’s as passionate about making a difference as we are. Must have experience working with children on the autism spectrum and sensory feeding.
The Sunny Days Sunshine Center is a one-of-a-kind center designed to promote positive behavior, increase quality of life, and enable individuality; the Sunshine Center embraces each child’s individual needs. We are dedicated to children of all ages who are experiencing challenges with learning, social skills, sensory processing, speech/language difficulties and/or motor development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct developmental screening/assessments, provide Speech Language Pathology services, and consult with family members and other professionals working with the family.
- Coach family members and caregivers on various intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over both in-home and in community settings.
- Ensure that progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants in intervention through addressing specific goals, coaching sessions, and communication with the entire team.
- Prepare progress reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations).
Position Requirements:
- Outpatient pediatric clinic experience and feeding experience.
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
