Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in a full-time capacity to join our team at Riverside Mental Health & Recovery Center in Hampton, Virginia.
In this role you must be dual certified, PMHNP and FNP.
This is a full-time position that will include weekday, weekends, and On-Call requirements.
This position will be dedicated to those patients that are inpatient psychiatric admissions. Additional shifts may be available for those interested at additional compensation. Responsibilities include daily rounding, discharge planning, leading a treatment team, and interacting as part of a provider-based member of a multi-disciplinary team.

Education
- Nurse Practitioner - Masters in Nursing
- Nurse Practitioner License
- Nurse Practitioner certification
- Physician Assistant - Master Degree
- Physician Assistant License
Required
- Meet comprehensive and professional standards
- Have a current, valid state of Virginia medical license or be eligible for one
- Have a valid DEA controlled substance registration

Qualifications
- Ability to make independent decisions regarding patient care

Scope of Practice
- Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies
- Performs thorough physical examinations and assessments
- Assessment of health status
- Formulate patient care plans
- Provides counseling to patients about their care
- Prescribe tests and treatments / analyze the tests and treatments
- Document findings
Basic computer skills
