College Park Dental is hiring a Dental Hygienist for our successful, growing dental practice located in College Park, Maryland. This is a full-time position working Mon-Fri (7:00-3:30) with one Friday off per month.

College Park Dental is a well-established, successful practice, where we truly value our hygienists and the important role they play in our success. To ensure our hygienists get off to a successful start, the candidate we hire will go through a short training program, so when they begin to see patients, they will feel confident and comfortable in their new position within our team.
Previous experience is always a plus, but we also encourage new hygiene grads to apply as well. The training program we offer is especially nice for new hygiene grads, to help them transition into their new career, with mentorship and support from well-seasoned hygienists.
The Dental Hygienist we hire must have an active hygiene license for the state of Maryland. New hygiene grads must be applying for license soon.
Responsibilities
- As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in improving the oral health of our patients through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about their dental work and dedicated to providing the highest level of care at all times.
- Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and education under limited supervision. You will follow guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which you work, showcasing your expertise and professionalism.
- Patient screening, medical history, and dental charting.
- Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain, and plaque from above and below the gum line.
- Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease.
- Perform other duties as assigned, showcasing your adaptability and willingness to contribute to the team.
Qualifications
- Active Hygiene license for the state of Maryland
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
