Duration: 3 month contract – Strong Possibility Extension
Shift: (2 Openings) - Mid-day and Overnight 8 hour shifts
Job Description:
Performs and monitors a full range of laboratory testing and analysis. Assumes responsibility for problem resolution, quality control, and required equipment maintenance with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests in compliance with department procedures and all pertinent regulatory requirements.
- Follow quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures.
- Perform instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Accurately report test results.
- Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies.
- Maintain effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.
- Participate in laboratory projects and educational activities.
- Demonstrate and educate laboratory principles and technical skills to others.
Requirements & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Combination of Education/Experience to Associate degree
- MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY/CLINICAL LAB SCIENCES field of study or degree program
- ASCP – Chemistry Technologist
- ASCP – Hematology Technologist
- ASCP – Microbiology Technologist
