We are seeking a dedicated full-time emergency veterinarian or critical care specialist to join our dynamic team. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work a flexible 3-day workweek while enjoying a generous paid 6-weeks vacation (in addition to 1 week paid CE and 1 week paid sick time) per year. You will be responsible for providing exceptional emergency and critical care services to our patients, utilizing your advanced medical knowledge and skills to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions. Collaboration with our experienced team of veterinary professionals and support staff will be essential to delivering the highest standard of care.
As an emergency veterinarian or critical care specialist, you will handle a diverse caseload of urgent and critical cases, including trauma cases, toxicities, and other life-threatening emergencies. Strong communication skills are crucial as you will interact with pet owners to explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognosis in a compassionate and empathetic manner. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor and supervise interns while upholding best practices in emergency and critical care medicine.

Minimum Requirements:
- DVM or equivalent degree
- California veterinary licensure with good standing
- DEA license or DEA licensure eligible
- Ideal ER candidate is internship-trained or has equivalent emergency experience; ideal criticalist is board certified or residency trained
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
