We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Associate Veterinarian to join our brand new facility at Sandbridge Veterinary Center located in the sunny state of Florida! Sandbridge Veterinary Center is located in St. Johns County, Florida nestled between Jacksonville and St. Augustine, FL. Our county is home to an "A" rated school system and is the third fastest growing county in the state of Florida! As an Associate Veterinarian at Sandbridge, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive examinations, diagnosing illnesses, performing surgeries, and developing treatment plans tailored to each animal's specific needs. To assist you with your caseload, you will always have at least two extremely talented technicians and a third for surgical needs so that you may practice medicine the way you were trained! Our facility consists of 13 exam rooms, 6 wet and dry treatment stations, a large surgical suite, ultrasound and echocardiology capability, full in-house lab capabilities, tonopen, microscope, full in-wall oxygen, isoflurane anesthesia, as well as portable machines. We offer multi-parameter monitoring, blood pressure, and oxygen for those cardiac and pulmonary patients that need critical care. We have two large and separate feline and canine treatment areas as well as separate dental suites with dental radiography. Sandbridge Veterinary provides companion laser therapy as well. We also have a separate Pet Resort to include boarding, daycare, and grooming which has the potential to bring in quite a bit of passive income to our veterinarians. Collaboration and teamwork are at the core of our practice, and Dr. Bissell absolutely loves providing mentorship to everyone! Dr. Bissell has worked in the area for 17 years and is known for his hardworking, very friendly, and fun personality, and we believe you will absolutely thrive working under his leadership!
To excel in this role, candidates must possess a DVM or equivalent degree, have a strong passion for animal welfare, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Experience working with a variety of species, particularly cats and dogs, is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, compassionate, friendly, and dedicated to providing exceptional care.
