Schedule: Full Time
Shift: Monday-Friday 8a - 4:30pm
The role you’ll contribute: The Radiology Technologist under the direction of the Office manager/Clinical Supervisor performs radiologic procedures as ordered by the physician. Assists the physician during casting, treatment and examination of the patient.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Prepares patients for radiology procedures. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- Uses gonadal shielding, when possible, for all patients of childbearing age and all pediatric patients.
- Develops and processes radiology film.
- Maintains x-ray film files in a neat and orderly fashion. Ensures that reports and/or films are available for the physician in a timely manner.
- Logs radiology procedures completed. Processes routine paperwork. Types and files report as requested.
- Maintains darkroom and x-ray room in a clean and orderly manner. Stocks necessary medical and radiology supplies.
- Orders x-ray supplies on a routine basis. Rotates film stock.
- Verifies correct charges on charge slip for x-rays, treatments and procedures.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of a recognized Radiology Technology program.
- Current, valid State of Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license.
- Current, valid American Registry of Radiology Technologist certification.
- Current, valid CPR certification.
Preferred qualifications:
- 1 year of medical office experience preferred.
- Must be willing to float to other AHMG practices, within reason, when patient load, vacation schedules etc. make it necessary.
