The Chittenango Animal Hospital is currently looking for a full-time veterinarian to join our team. An ideal candidate is someone who wants to work in a high-quality independent general practice located in Central New York. New graduates are encouraged to apply and start their careers here. All candidates must have a valid NYS veterinary license.
Our team of 7 LVTs, 14 support staff, and 4 DVMs are dedicated to providing loving, knowledgeable, and low-stress care. With over 80 years of combined DVM experience, our veterinary team offers great mentoring and collaboration. New hires can expect to be mentored but also have the autonomy to make diagnoses and treatment decisions. Services offered at our practice include:

We help the pets of more than 12,000 clients in a spacious and clean facility. We believe in spending enough time with each patient to do thorough assessments, offer comprehensive medical and preventative recommendations, and provide good education. This is part of the reason many families have been with the Chittenango Animal Hospital for generations. We also welcome new families and pets to our region, which is experiencing exciting growth opportunities.
In addition to a fantastic team and facility, we value work-life balance and offer competitive benefits. Our veterinarians work 4 weekdays and alternate half-day Saturdays. We are closed overnight and on Sundays. Several referral/specialty hospitals are located in our region to provide support and advanced care for our patients.
Job Requirements:
- DVM/VMD degree
- License in good standing in New York State
