The National Sales Director (Project Lead) will be responsible for the operations and oversight of a team of District Managers and Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives. The national sales team will be educating and promoting on approved client messages to targeted accounts. He/she will also be responsible for delivering on all contractual obligations, as well as personnel and operational requirements. The Project Lead will work across the IQVIA organization and collaborate both internally and with the client to ensure effective execution of integrated solutions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Client’s main point of contact regarding the commercial project work.
- Work closely with the client partner to create, manage, and maintain project plans and timelines including key milestones, business rules, workflows, and ensure alignment with IQVIA and client objectives.
- Drive, analyze, and report on performance/progress (KPI’s/scorecard/priorities/key deliverables).
- Manage the cross-functional collaboration across the internal IQVIA team and the client team to ensure all operational project deliverables/milestones are achieved.
- Drive team performance through team building, coaching, training, motivating and management.
- Responsible for conducting personnel/ HR related actions associated with IQVIA District Managers such as hiring (interviews, employment offers), performance management (performance reviews, development or disciplinary plans, termination), and personnel issues.
- Provide administrative oversight and approval of IQVIA District Manager’s expense reports, monitors compliance with expense policies.
- Coordinate meetings and associated components as needed.
Education, Experience, & Other Requirements:
- 4 yr bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical National Sales Management or Regional Sales Management experience successfully overseeing a team of nation/region-wide District Managers and representatives required. Some hematology experience preferred.
- 10+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience required.
- Proven track record in leading a nation-wide pharmaceutical sales team strongly preferred.
- Sales operations or project management experience a plus.
- Ability to effectively communicate directly with the customer to ensure that all customer goals and objectives are being met.
Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a national sales team and management towards exceeding objectives.
- Strong business acumen and ability to clearly and concisely report detailed national results and data to internal Sales Management, as well as the customer.
- Strong and effective presentation skills; excellent communications skills – both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership, planning and organization, problem solving and decision-making skills.

The potential base pay range for this role is 200-210,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
