The Staff Physical Therapist reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and is responsible for supporting the mission of the Hospital by providing quality physical therapy services to patients of all ages who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. The physical therapist interacts and practices in collaboration with a variety of professionals involved in the care of the patient. The physical therapist educates, engages in critical inquiry, directs, and supervises physical therapy services including support personnel. Physical therapy services include examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and intervention of the patient in order to reduce disability. The physical therapist also provides prevention and wellness services.
Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy educational program.
- Licensed by the Physical Therapy Board of California.
- Health care provider CPR license.
- Two years experience as a PT.
Preferences:
Masters or doctorate degree preferred.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
Our ideal candidate is a licensed PT in the state of California. We would prefer that he/she has worked in an acute care setting, but that is not required. 2 years experience is required.
Opportunities:
We have two opportunities:
- Physical Therapists with an Orthopedic background will be placed in our Outpatient clinic in Marina, CA. The schedule is day shift, M-F. In addition, all outpatient therapists are required to work one Saturday (or Sunday) a month in the Hospital.
- Physical Therapists with a Neurological background will be placed in our new outpatient clinic located in the downtown area of Monterey, CA. The schedule is day shift, M-F. In addition, all outpatient therapists are required to work one Saturday (or Sunday) a month in the Hospital.
