Nashville Veterinary Specialists is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6-12 month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable, to transition into an associate ER position with us after training!
With a referral base of more than 200 veterinarians and a growing emergency caseload, our hospital currently employs a robust emergency doctor team and one Criticalist. We are actively looking for a second Criticalist. Other on-site Specialists include: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Neurology, telemedicine Radiology services, and Anesthesiology.
Our specialty equipment includes:
- on site CT
- MRI
- digital radiography
- ultrasound
- echocardiography
- laparoscopy
- endoscopy
- cystoscopy
- electrodiagnostics.
Round-the-clock care is provided for all our patients through our 24-hour emergency services and a fully functioning ICU. Our hospital is a newly constructed approximately 26,000 square foot campus, and we are currently expanding to provide more dedicated space for our growing specialty team. The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program
The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.
The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.
Program Duration/Commitment
- 6-12 month training program beginning in June/July 2025
- 1-year commitment as an ER clinician at Nashville Veterinary Specialists
