Manager of Clinical Admins (MCAs) are responsible for leading a team of Clinical Admin Coordinators (CACs) who provide support to clinical teams. The MCA is responsible for ensuring team compliance with all quality, productivity and timeliness expectations. The MCA will utilize data and reporting to monitor the performance of the team overall and of individual team members. The MCA will provide regular updates to clinical leadership regarding the team's performance and will actively collaborate with clinical teams. The MCA will develop and maintain processes that provide clear direction to the team. MCAs will be required to travel occasionally to attend health plan or team meetings.
Schedule: This is for a full-time (40 hours/week). Schedule is Monday through Friday any 8-hour or 10-hour shift to be determined by the hiring manager between the hours of 7am to 6pm Central Standard Time.
Location: Remote in the state of Kansas or within 50 miles of the border.
If you reside in KS or within 50 miles of border, you will have the flexibility to work remotely as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of clinical admin procedures. Engage in a regular review of existing processes to look for CQI opportunities.
- Provide onboarding and training to clinical admin team members.
- Provide tools such as workflows, templates, etc that facilitate the CACs ability to meet position expectations.
- Utilize data and reporting to regularly monitor team performance on quality, timeliness and productivity metrics.
- Enforce performance metrics and apply performance management processes and tools.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports, including discussion of team member development goals.
- Conduct regular team meetings to provide relevant updates and to facilitate team engagement.
- Actively collaborate with other departments to achieve relevant goals.
- Communicate regularly with manager and with clinical leadership to provide regular updates on team's performance toward meeting TAT expectations, including any barriers in meeting these expectations.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
- 2+ years of experience with Healthcare Authorizations and Claims.
- Experience using data and reporting to monitor team performance.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Products including Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
- Reside in the state of Kansas or within 50 miles of the border.
- Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience of Healthcare/Managed Care experience, including experience with authorizations and claims.
- 3+ years of experience of leadership experience.
