Early Years Practitioner (Part-Time, 18 hours per week - with potential for increased hours to 24 hours per week). Starting date: September 2024.
Abbeymead Under 5’s is a small and nurturing playgroup committed to providing a stimulating and supportive environment for young children aged 2-4 years old. We believe in the importance of early childhood education and are dedicated to fostering a love for learning in our little ones.
We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our team in the Rising 3s Room. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for our young learners. Key Responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities to support the development of children aged 2-3 years old.
- Fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community within the playgroup.
- Observing and assessing children's development, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback to parents.
- Collaborating with the team to contribute to the overall planning and organization of the playgroup.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children aged 2-3 years old.
- A strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a small team and knowledge of SEN in an Early Years Setting.
