Job Summary: Geisinger is seeking board certified/board eligible Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and/or Geriatric trained physicians for an exciting Primary Care opportunity with Geisinger 65 Forward in Shamokin Dam, PA.
Job Duties:
Join an established practice; the clinic is only 15 minutes to Lewisburg, PA, home of Bucknell University, and 15 miles from Geisinger Medical Center.
Geisinger 65 Forward is a comprehensive approach to primary care for people 65 and older, dedicated to providing “one place” for all health and well-being needs.

- More time with patients: Up to 60 minutes with patients to answer questions and address concerns.
- Easier and frequent appointments: Because we specialize in healthcare just for seniors, we’re able to see them more often.
- Smaller patient panel: Max patient panel threshold of 500 per physician.
- Interdisciplinary team: Includes nursing, care coordinator/coach, social worker, receptionist, nutritionist, administrator and wellness coordinator.
- Support for patients: From group ceramics to rummy card games, our centers offer a slew of fun activities to meet both old friends and new.
We take pride in the support we provide our physicians:
- Compensation: 'New’ base salary starting at $320k
- Up to $250k recruitment incentives
- Fellowship stipend: up to 45k; available up to 18 months prior to graduation, paid in lump sum
- Continuing medical education: 15 working days and $4,500 CME funds
- Fully paid relocation
- 401k: Geisinger contributes over $15k annually
- Academic involvement: with medical students and residents
