NOW HIRING: Ultrasound Technicians, Several Locations throughout Tennessee.

DAMD is currently seeking a full-time Ultrasound Technician. Balance patient interaction and technological performance with a firm knowledge of anatomy and pathology by working cohesively with a healthcare team in a home setting.

In this position, you will work with a team consisting of MD’s, NP’s, PA’s to diagnose, treat, and counsel patients on their current medical conditions and educate patients on preventative health measures. Showing compassion and genuine kindness with patients is a must.

Responsibilities:

Performs imaging procedure(s) of the abdomen, thyroid, scrotum, and pelvic ultrasound.
Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning the patient and repeating procedures.
Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.
Prepares the exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct examinations.
Recognizes and records the appropriate cardiac and vascular anatomy and pathology using sonographic equipment.
Maintains proper care of sonography equipment and reports equipment failure.
Drafts reports based upon the scan results and completion.
Alerts appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that need immediate attention after scanning the patient.
Possesses the ability to solve problems and make decisions.
Works independently and with minimal supervision as part of a team.
Manages multiple priorities and projects, displaying flexibility in a fast-paced work environment.
Displays a good work ethic, adapts in a positive manner, maintains a friendly cheerful disposition, and accepts change.
Maintains the strictest levels of confidentiality.
