Position: Radiology Technologist
Mt. Grant General Hospital is accepting applications for the position of Radiology Technologist. Under the direction and supervision of the radiology manager, the technologist is responsible for performing X-ray and CT examinations as ordered by medical staff. Perform related duties as assigned. The Radiology team is a small, tight-knit department of highly skilled technologists. Our small department offers many advanced services beyond X-Ray, including, but not limited to Echocardiograms, Sonography, and 64 Slice CT.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must hold current registry with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists AND
- Current CPR card AND
- A minimum of 2 years in CT or ability and ambition to train
Wage:
$35.00/hr – $43.00/hr (No CT ARRT, X-Ray Only)
$38.00/hr – $48.00/hr (ARRT CT & X-Ray)
$5,000.00 sign-on bonus
$2,500.00 reimbursement for relocation
Stand-by pay: $5.00/hr
Call back pay: time & 1.5 of regular rate.
Responsibilities:
- Takes radiology procedure call after regular working hours and weekends on a rotation basis.
- Complies with established policies and procedures of the hospital and the department and maintains strict compliance with radiation safety regulations.
- Cooperates with department staff to achieve goals and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental and public relations.
- Attends required meetings such as in-service meetings, staff meetings, and committee meetings, and is responsible for information and problems discussed and agreed upon at said meetings.
- Keeps up-to-date in the field of CT Technology through current literature, attendance at seminars, and workshops.
- Performs routine and moderately complex diagnostic radiological exams and procedures as outlined in the policy and procedure manual.
- Determines the technical factors, sets the controls, and operates radiographic equipment to ensure the correct exposure.
- Schedules inpatients and outpatients for CT exams, reviews physician orders, and obtains patient history.
- Transports patients to and from the department as required.
- Greets patients and explains procedures, allaying fears and anxieties.
