UM Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has a Full-time employed position available for a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join their growing, community-based Wound care/Hyperbaric medicine practice located in Aberdeen, MD.
Nurse Practitioner Job Specifics:
- Position is outpatient based and includes coverage in the wound care center.
- Excellent opportunity to work with a collaborative and collegial team.
- Ideal candidate will have experience in wound care; HBO experience is a plus.
- No weekends or call requirements.

Work Orientation & Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of wound care nursing experience and at least two (2) years adult NP experience is preferred. Previous outpatient setting experience is preferred. Must maintain an NPI number and DEA.
Education & Training:
- Master of Science with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. Hold an unrestricted license in the state of practice.
- Completion of a 40-hour introductory hyperbaric medicine course, which has been approved by the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine Society (UHMS), the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine (ACHM), or National Baromedical Services (NBS) through the South Carolina Medical Association (SCMA) within the three years immediately prior to beginning hyperbaric medicine practice.
- Be granted specifically delineated privileges to practice hyperbaric medicine on all patients within the scope of services in the facility where the hyperbaric oxygen treatments will be provided, in accordance with the facility credentialing criteria and policies.
- ACLS certification if the hyperbaric treatments are provided in a facility outside of the main hospital, or if the response time of a code team would exceed five minutes.
