Great opportunity for a Surgical Technologist professional to work in an organization that focuses on treating the whole person, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Position Summary for Surgical Technologist, Obstetrical:
- Assists the Physicians and Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) and nursing personnel before, during, and after deliveries.
- Inventories, rotates, maintains, and restocks supplies, instruments, and equipment in appropriate areas as needed.
- Picks up and delivers specimens, equipment, meal trays, blood products, and stat pharmacy orders.
- Answers telephone, takes and relays messages, and sorts and files reports.
- Answers patient call lights, takes patient vital signs, and assists with patient hygiene as directed by an RN.
What the Surgical Technologist Will Need:
- Minimum Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- Preferred: Associate of Applied Science Surgical Technology.
- Certification or re-certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within one month of hire.
- NBSTA Surgical Technologist certification within 1 year of hire.
- Familiarity with standard desktop and windows-based computer systems, including email, e-learning, intranet, and computer navigation.
- Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions.
