We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join a behavioral healthcare group at a 358-bed acute-care hospital with an adjacent psychiatric hospital located in Perry County, Kentucky.
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides and directs the delivery of psychiatric services under the supervision of a delegated Psychiatrist. The NP is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and providing case management for clients with psychiatric and chemical dependency problems.
The NP therapeutically intervenes in complicated mental health problems using psychotherapy, medication management, and other interventions available. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning and implementing patient care activities, and evaluating the patient’s response to treatment.
