Acute Inpatient Pharmacy Manager
MLee Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Inpatient Pharmacy to join our dynamic team. The Manager of Inpatient Pharmacy will play a key role in overseeing the operations of our pharmacy department within the inpatient setting, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality pharmaceutical services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the inpatient pharmacy team, including pharmacists, technicians, and support staff.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to optimize pharmacy operations and enhance patient care.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and best practices in pharmacy practice.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote interdisciplinary teamwork and continuity of care.
- Oversee medication management processes, including medication ordering, dispensing, administration, and monitoring.
- Participate in formulary management, medication safety initiatives, and quality improvement efforts.
- Provide education and training to pharmacy staff, healthcare providers, and patients on medication-related topics.
- Monitor pharmacy performance metrics and outcomes, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and accountability within the pharmacy department.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Licensed pharmacist in the state of Massachusetts, or eligible for licensure.
- PGY1 Residency is acceptable, while PGY2 Residency is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospital pharmacy practice, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in inpatient pharmacy practice, including medication therapy management and clinical pharmacy services.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
