Position Details:
- Behavior Therapist or Registered Behavior Technician available to begin immediately!
- Not yet an RBT? No worries! We have an on-site training program as a benefit! We value our Behavior Technicians and their dedication to our mission of making a difference in a child’s life. That is why we make it our mission to provide comprehensive training as a path to RBT certification!
- Part time evening positions 3-6pm.
- Pay ranges from $19.00-22.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Looking for career growth? Qualified Behavior Technicians may expand their career in the field of Pediatrics and ABA by becoming a BCBA or BCaBA. Through a structured practicum program, you will have the opportunity to obtain required fieldwork hours, learn how to design and implement behavior programs, and have a greater impact on children receiving ABA Therapy.
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the BCBA, provides direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
- Follows the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols, as outlined and prescribed by the supervising Behavior Analyst.
- Records data and SOAP/session notes in the Electronic medical record, Catalyst & Accupoint, as prescribed and outlined by the supervising BCBA.
- Accurately records session times in both Catalyst and Accupoint.
- Maintains privacy of client families, per federal HIPAA laws and internal Alternatives ABA policies.
- Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with client’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
- Utilize safe & appropriate proximity, physical procedures, and prompts, as outlined by Alternatives ABA internal policies and procedures, when working with clients.
- Maintain client and family confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Assists BCBA with skill acquisition, behavior reduction assessments, preference assessments, etc.
- Adequately prepares for sessions prior to session start.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
- Represents Alternatives ABA in a professional manner and adheres to the internal policies and procedures including, but not limited to, professionalism.
- Collaborates, under the direction of the BCBA, with treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, ancillary evidenced based clinicians, outside professionals, etc.
- Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings.
- Maintains the Registered Behavior Technician Credential or is actively working towards the credential.
- Accepts and responds to BCBA supervision via telehealth, may utilize telehealth for direct therapy.
- Participate in appropriate telehealth training procedures, per internal organization policies and procedures.
- Submits to and responds to competency evaluations and feedback.
- Other relevant duties, as outlined by supervisor.
