Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Caregiver Support Coordinator, this Caregiver Support Specialist position is responsible for providing direct services to assist Milwaukee County residents in understanding, accessing, and utilizing supportive caregiver resources, including the National Family Caregiver Support Program (NFCSP) as well as the Alzheimer’s Family and Caregiver Support Program (AFCSP). This position will assist eligible residents to enroll in and utilize funding available for caregiver support, provide administrative support and record-keeping for the utilization of those funds, coordinate consistent referrals for caregivers to other social supports, and support community outreach/education efforts related to caregiving.
The Caregiver Support Specialist will primarily serve caregivers of adults with disabilities (age 18-end of life) and older adults.
Salary Range: $61,900.80 - $73,174.40
