Job Description
Salary: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: varies
The Resident Assistant provides assistance to residents in a manner that meets or exceeds community expectations. You may be required to respond to emergency calls and situations; document and report care provided; and transport residents to various functions or locations. Familiarity and willingness to work with the elderly population is essential for this role.
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living such as grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair, and maintaining resident apartments.
- Document and report care provided and resident observations.
- Obtain vital signs, heights, and weights.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences and skills:
- Must be an active Certified Nurse Aide in the State of Kansas.
- A big smile, eagerness to learn, and compassion for our Residents.
- If you are under the age of 18, you must provide proper schoolwork authorization (if applicable).
- Must complete all state educational requirements; CPR is preferred.
- A First Aid certification and Heimlich Maneuver training may be facilitated by the company.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- All state educational requirements for the position must be met.
- Experience working with an elderly population, particularly memory care, is preferred.
