The Department of Radiology at New Jersey Medical School at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is recruiting an Interventional Radiologist. The successful applicant will have completed a fellowship or equivalent in Interventional Radiology, must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree, and must be ABR eligible or certified in IR/DR. J1 Waiver sponsorship is available. The position will offer a market competitive salary and excellent benefits.
We are seeking a candidate at the Assistant Professor level or higher to join our section; new graduates are also encouraged to apply. We serve a diverse community with a wide range of interesting cases. We are a collegial department that values education of residents, clinical excellence, and faculty personal growth and well-being.
The Interventional Radiology section is based at the University Hospital in Newark, NJ and is a full clinical service with an inpatient consult service and an outpatient clinic. We are staffed with 5 faculty and 2 physician assistants. We have several busy service lines such as Interventional Oncology (Y90, TACE, Ablation), Hepatobiliary interventions, Venous Thromboembolism, Peripheral arterial disease, Dialysis access, Level 1 trauma interventions, Women’s and Men’s health, MSK interventions to mention a few.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about practice building to continue expanding our growing service lines. Ability to obtain Y90 Authorized User status and experience with Peripheral artery Disease treatment is preferred. Scholarly activity is encouraged.
