About this position:
The Medical Assistant - Phlebotomy provides support to patients and co-workers by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks in different areas of the health center.
This is a full-time Union position at 37.5 hours/weekly
Hourly rate $19.97-$29.14 based on experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Performing back-office responsibilities as required by the health center; rooms patients; stocks rooms; phlebotomy, labs, patient education; assists NPs, RNs, and MDs.
- Provides non-judgmental, client-centered care, and provides accurate information by answering questions and providing appropriate resources.
- Assists with optimizing patient flow to keep appointments on schedule.
- Establishes and prepares documents for patient records and patient services.
- Provides patients and co-workers with excellent customer service in all interactions and tasks.

- Must be okay with providing abortion care.
- Must be able to work in a clinic where we see between 20 and 30 patients a day.
- Must be able to embrace teamwork and flexibility of days and locations.
You’ll need to have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or two years of experience in an office or medical setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications; experience with electronic health records.
- National Medical Assistant Certification required. Proof of completed COVID-19 Vaccinations and Flu is required for employment with PPGNHAIK.
Extra points for:
- Experience with reproductive healthcare in a clinical office or hospital setting with knowledge of EHR.
- Spanish-speaking.
