The Emergency Medicine Research Navigator will be a member of the Department of Emergency Medicine’s Division of Research. The successful candidate will support Emergency Medicine faculty, residents, fellows, and staff with the knowledge and resources necessary to conduct research, quality improvement, innovation, and education-based projects to develop the scientific foundation for practice, improve patient safety, and advance health equity for the community we serve.
The Research Navigator collaborates with Emergency Medicine leaders, principal investigators, research coordinators, fellows, residents, students, the MaineHealth Office of Research Ethics and Compliance, the MaineHealth Institute for Research, the Center for Interdisciplinary Population and Health Research, MaineHealth member and affiliate institutions, and external/community partners to support scholarly projects and goals.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Master's Degree in relevant field required. PhD preferred.
License/Certifications: CITI Human Subjects and Good Clinical Practice Certifications preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in relevant field required.
Additional Skills Preferred:
- Ability to educate learners across the spectrum of professional development.
- Extensive knowledge of statistical principles and methods including proficiency with software packages such as SPSS, SAS, Stata, R.
- Ability to function independently and facilitate projects through all phases of development and implementation.
