Sweetwater, TX Nuclear Medicine Technologist MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a full-time, permanent Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a dynamic team at a well-established acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas!
Salary: $68,011 to $98,289 per year
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities:
- Prepare and Administer Radioactive Drugs: Safely prepare and deliver radioactive substances for diagnostic procedures.
- Capture Diagnostic Images: Take images to assist physicians in diagnosing infections or disorders.
- Schedule: Day shifts, Monday through Friday.
- Minimize Radiation Exposure: Ensure safety protocols are followed to reduce radiation exposure for patients and staff.
- Analyze Laboratory Specimens: Conduct laboratory analyses of specimens as needed.
- Schedule Appointments: Manage and coordinate patient appointments.
- Explain Procedures: Clearly communicate procedures and protocols to patients to ensure understanding.
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited Radiology or Nuclear Medicine Program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine.
- Certification from NMTCB or ARRT.
- Texas Medical Board-MRT certification.
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of Nuclear Medicine.
- Proficient in starting IVs.
- Familiarity with EKGs and stress testing systems.
- Ability to perform injections for pharmacologic testing.
