Hours: 7:30AM-4PM
The ideal candidate will provide quality control & product development support for our manufacturing operations reporting to the Chemist of the company. Upon hiring, all duties will be assigned by the chemist & blending manager.
Duties and Responsibilities (Laboratory)
- Assist in daily quality control of lubricant production batches
- Participate in R&D projects which include the development of new product formulations and product preparation
- Prepare small to medium scale formulation batches of various lubricant products
- R&D involvement with scientists: batching samples, evaluating samples, documenting results (taking viscosity, density, pH, and Brix measurements)
- Assist and directly conduct technical services & reporting
- Instrument calibration and verification
- Assist the lab chemist with organizing flavor shelves, restocking materials, and cleaning equipment (lab stations)
- Assist chemist in maintaining a record for formulas, specifications, and sensory results that are observed during the product development process
- Accommodate chemist & production department with shipping out samples to clients
- Monitor inventory and all other supplies in the lab
- Desire to learn about production and manufacturing operations
- Must be organized and able to work independently and manage multiple time-sensitive projects
