AEL is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor for 3rd shift. We are looking for an experienced laboratory professional who is detail-oriented, process-focused, and can thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused, and challenging environment.
Location: Knoxville, TN
Nights: Monday - Friday (3rd shift)

In this role, you will:
- Organize and coordinate services provided, oversee operations, and manage staff and budget in accordance with laboratory’s policies and procedures.
- Be responsible for strategic development: develop staff to meet new and existing goals.
- Handle scheduling, training, time-keeping management, and ongoing evaluation of all staff reporting to them.
- Work on interdisciplinary teams and projects to further the overall goals of the organization.
- Perform all assays according to the laboratory's protocols and procedures, establish validity test results, accurately transcribe, review and report test results, perform all necessary computer functions to manage tests data, verify test procedures, and establish the laboratory's performance criteria.
- Analyze laboratory findings to check the accuracy of the results.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and standardization on all instruments within an established time frame and keep accurate and up-to-date records of such performance and quality control checks. Recognize any malfunction of instruments and take immediate corrective action to restore proper operation of the instrument(s).
All you need is:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology.
- Tennessee Supervisor's license.
- A minimum of 6 years of laboratory experience.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Certification or eligible by ASCP or equivalent.
