As a Physical Therapist, you will provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload while also participating in the clinical team process. You will also provide teaching and training to caregiver staff and supervise other therapists, assistants, aides, and students as required.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree, Master of Science, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
- Appropriate licensing requirements by individual states must be maintained.
- Two (2) years of clinical experience preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Screen patients/residents.
- Evaluate patients/residents and develop appropriate care plans.
- May perform additional assigned administrative duties like assigning and overseeing resident care activities, medical record oversight, assuring execution of physician orders, ordering supplies, etc.
- Under a physician’s order, provide direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care. Treatment venues include individual, supervised, and group.
- Contribute to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program.
- Consult with and train patients, residents, and caregivers.
- Monitor efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with the supervisor.
- Document activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
- Demonstrate consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers, and supervisors.
- Provide appropriate consultation to the facility.
- Participate in clinical program development and implementation.
- Participate in the training and orientation of other staff, students, and volunteers.
- Participate in the interview process for new staff.
- Participate in census building and marketing activities.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Be responsible for service and operational excellence of all assigned activities to ensure the delivery of quality services and/or outcomes required to meet or exceed the expectations of those utilizing or impacted by the department.
- Comply with facility Privacy Practices policies and procedures and protect residents’ individual health information.
- Exhibit courtesy, compassion, and respect to patients, residents, families, caregivers, visitors, physicians, administrators, and co-workers.

- Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language.
- Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary.
