Job Requirements:
- Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist
- Address: Hamet, CA 92545
- Shift hours: 7:30-4:00 pm
- Site Support / Travel: These positions require the contracted employee to drive site-to-site daily supporting student services. School sites are located in the Hemet, San Jacinto, Idyllwild, and Anza areas.
Job Description:
- Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
- Knowledge of appropriate diagnostic and screening instruments in the area of speech/language.
- Knowledge of appropriate materials to be used with specific deficiencies at various grade levels.
- Knowledge of equipment necessary for speech/language screening.
- Ability to interact well with handicapped and regular students.
- Ability to interact with staff, parents, and community agencies.
- Master's or higher degree, including all courses needed to meet requirements for credential.
- General Speech Correction and Lip Reading in Remedial Classes or General Special Secondary Credential in Correction of Speech Defects.
- Standard Teaching Credential with a Specialization in elementary or secondary Speech and Hearing or Standard Teaching Credential Limited Specialization Preparation in the area of Speech and Hearing or Standard Restricted Special Education Credential in the area of Speech and Hearing Specialist or Speech and Hearing Therapy or a Specialist in Communication Handicapped or a Specialist in Clinical Rehabilitative.
- One (1) year of prior professional Speech Pathologist experience preferred within the school setting.
- CA SLP License, CTC SLP Credential, BLS.
