McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a full-time Category Management Intern in Hunt Valley, Maryland located at the Global Corporate Headquarters. This is a 10-week internship (June 2 - August 8, 2025) which requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

As part of the Category Management team, you'll help ensure the success of retail execution for the McCormick Consumer Products Organization. As a leader across spices, seasonings, condiments and more, we are responsible for driving the execution of strategic initiatives and customer activations in partnership with our sales and broker teams. Through this internship, you'll get exposure to business-critical projects, data analysis and strategy development, and personal and team leadership opportunities, while working with cross functional team members in sales, marketing, finance, and third-party brokers. A successful candidate will have a natural curiosity, willingness to learn, and the ability to engage and influence a diverse group of colleagues - all to drive positive business results.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This Field Category Management Intern will help oversee the sales execution of McCormick programs and assist the Field Sales Category Manager identify gaps and opportunities for improved business results. Candidates should have the desire to learn various skills associated with Sales and be flexible and open to all assignments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with internal and external partners to identify opportunities and needs at grocery and mass merchants that would enable step change and growth to accelerate our path to best in class in-store retail execution.
- Analyze methodologies by which we measure value, and the overall tools and solutions we use to measure, manage and communicate our initiatives; make recommendations for future improvements.
- Participate in retail store audits, category resets, business reviews and other customer level needs.
- Other projects as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, rising Junior or Senior, with a target graduation date between December 2025 and May 2026.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a Business, Marketing, Communications, Analytics, or related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to filter, prioritize, analyze and validate complex information to develop strategies.
- Ability to work independently, learn new tasks, solve problems, and show strong self-motivation and initiative.
- Must be able to prioritize and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization and external customers.
